Richard Olayiwola (Crop Improvement and production, Australia)
Richard Olayiwola comes with over 15 years of experience in crop research and production. He is currently working on chickpea breeding in Australia. He was a research fellow at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan. Richard taught plant breeding and agronomy courses at Olabisi Onabanjo University across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He was part of the multidisciplinary commercial R&D team at Monsanto in sub-Saharan Africa and later Bayer Crop Science. He is also the Chief Scientist at Leverage Seeds, where he leads the research and production of cereals, legumes, and vegetables.
